Don't Fret The Sweat

I am a One2One Network member and they have teamed up with Unilever to bring us the Don't Fret The Sweat blogging campaign.

I have an almost "tweenaged" son. He is 11 and I am learning about how critical self esteem is at this tender age. The tweenage years are full of changes. Whether or not I am ready, his body is trying to tell him something. Increased hormones are causing noticeable differences like growth spurts and strange new odors. Thankfully Unilever, the makers of Degree, Dove and Suave deodorant offer parents like me support for these difficult times. Unilever wants to ensure that parents and kids remain cool, calm and confident throughout the day, especially during those sweat-inducing moments.

To find out more information on this program, check out Facebook.com/DontFretTheSweat here for money saving offers and expert tips. There are tools and real life stories about how parents are communicating and transitioning their tweens into confident and self-reliant teens also.

FRESCHETTA Simply Inspired Review & Giveaway CLOSED

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of FRESCHETTA® for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am an at home mom of 2 school aged children who play in sports.  Both of my children are playing baseball this year and that means that our nights and weekends are busy with practices and games.  We don't always have time for me to cook a full meal from scratch so I was excited for this FRESCHETTA Simply Inspired review opportunity.

I like to try new meal ideas that are both quick and nutritious.  The new FRESCHETTA Simply Inspired Pizzas offers me both of these qualities.  The pizzas feature larger cuts of fresh tasting vegetables, signature sauces, and real cheeses.  I like that the crust are thin, light, and crispy.   The FRESCHETTE Simply Inspired pizzas come in 8 flavor varieties that include Harvest Supreme, Classis Bruschetta, Hawaiian Style, Chicken Bianco, Farmers Market Veggie, Rustic Pepperoni, Pomodoro, Southern BBQ Recipe Chicken, and Tuscan Farmhouse.

I like that the 8 flavors of the FRESCHETTA Simply Inspired line are distinctive and offer me a new variety of pizzas to choose from.  I could choose a different flavor of pizza every time that I shop for groceries and my family would never get tired of the same ol flavor.  I also appreciate that the pizzas are packaged in a new Fresh-Taste Seal package which locks in the flavors and uses 30% less packaging at the same time.  I feel good serving FRESCHETTA® Simply…Inspired™  to my family.

You may find FRESCHETTA on facebook  and they are on twitter.  Be sure and go to the FRESCHETTA website to read more about the new 8 flavors.

Would you like to win your own coupon for the new FRESCHETTA Simply Inspired Pizza and a square bamboo cutting board?  If so, please read on!

HERSHEY’S Track & Field Games Giveaway Winner Announcement

Thank you to everyone who entered my HERSHEY’S Track & Field Games Giveaway that ended on 04/10/11. We only had 34 entries on this giveaway and randomizer chose # 11 as our winner. They have claimed their prize.

Coca-Cola And Good Times

I am a member of SocialMoms and they have teamed up with Coca-Cola to introduce a fun new blogging program that invited me to share a classic family recipe or a fond family memory that was inspired by Coca-Cola and mealtime with you. You may read more about that request here.

Spring is finally here and that means that Summer time is soon to follow! The warm changes in the weather bring more fun outdoor family events to me and my family. I also love spring because the flowers are begining to bloom and the Earth is awake again after sleeping all Winter.

My family and I love to go to the park and play for a few hours when the weather is nice on the weekends. While we are there enjoying our day, we always plan for a picnic lunch. We make sure to bring an ice chest full of Coca-Cola products and good food along with us.

My favorite mealtime memories with food and Coca-Cola seem to take place at the park. My daughter's birthday is June 29. Last summer we had her birthday party at the local park and swimming pool. We invited all of our family and many of her school friends to join us for a day of celebration and fun. We grilled hot dogs, served chips, cake and Coca-Cola drinks. After lunch, my daughter opened her gifts quickly so that we could all go to the pool for a nice swim. This was a fun family event that will not be forgotten. My daugther enjoyed her party so much that she wants to have her next birthday party at the park and swimming pool.

My children are ages 6 and 11. We enjoy spending outdoor time at the park, baseball field, zoo, or even in our own back yard. Where ever you go, remember to take along a cooler full of good foods and drinks. It's important to stay hydrated and to keep our bodies nurished.

I am always looking for ways to make recipies healthier and lower in fat. I normally use apple sauce as a substitute for oil in my cake and cookie recipes. I once tried that in brownies and it didn't taste so good. After that fail I went in search of another way to make no fat brownies. I found a recipe for "Diet Coke Brownies" that I would like to share with you.

Ingredients
1 Package Duncan Hines Traditional Brownie Mix
1 12oz Can of Diet Coke

Directions
Simply mix the brownie mix and Diet Coke together using a beater or wisk until it is well blended. Pour the mixture into 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 pan and bake according to the directions on the box, or until a toothpick comes out clean. This makes cake type brownies that are both yummy and better for you.

Here's to good food, good times, and lots of good family memories!

My Favorite PEEPS Moments

I am a member of Social Moms and they have teamed up with PEEPS & COMPANY® to introduce a fun, new blogging contest that asks me to share my favorite PEEPS moments with you. You may read more about that request here.

My kids and I love PEEPS! We are not picky about our PEEPS either. We love the pink ones, the yellow ones, the green ones, the duck ones, the bunny ones. You name it, if it's PEEPS we love it!

I have very found memories of PEEPS that date way back to my youth. I love the marshmallow, sugary goodness that comes in every PEEP. I can remember the Easter Bunny always leaving us a package of PEEPS in our Easter basket. It was so exciting waking up on Easter morning to find the goodies but the PEEPS were the first item opened and eaten. I would eat so many PEEPS that I got my yearly fill of them in one sitting.

My first few PEEPS eaten would be eaten slowly and enjoyed. I love to lick the sugar coating off of each one before chewing it whole. After enjoying a few PEEPS this way, I would start eating them in two bites. I would take a bite, chew slowly and enjoy every moment and then eat the second part quickly. I think that I did this so that I could start on my next PEEP quicker. I am not sure why but this is just the way that I enjoyed my PEEPS.

Anohter one of my favorite PEEPS moments was the year that the Easter bunny left me a trail of PEEPS that led from my bedroom to the dining room table that held my Easter basket. I think that I may relive this memory for my children so that I can see their Easter morning happiness shine through like mine did when I was a child.

Easter is almost here and I am already seeing those fun and very familiar PEEPS candies in my local stores. I still help our Easter bunny by filling my children's Easter baskets with PEEPS and other fun goodies. When shopping for PEEPS, I take my time at the store and make sure to pick up the pefect box of PEEPS for each child. My 6 year old daughter loves the pink bunnies and my 11 year old son enjoys the green chicks the best. I think that this year I will pick up a package of orange chick PEEPS that are just for me.

Did you know that PEEPS are also available online now? Check out the newly-opened PEEPSandCOMPANY.com online store for all the PEEPS, Mike and Ike, Hot Tamales and Peanut Chews products and toys you can imagine. You may even enjoy this exclusive offer for SocialMoms and friends. Use this promo code at checkout - SMSPRING11 for 20% off all of your purchases, valid through 5/4/11. Feel free to share this code with your friends and family also.

However you enjoy your Easter holiday, I hope that you can get your PEEP on too!

Little Switches That Make A Difference

I am a member of Social Moms and they have teamed up with Cottonelle to introduce a fun, new blogging program that asks me to share the little switches that make a difference in my personal relationship with my husband.

Even the best romantic relationships can get a little stale. Cottonelle brand wants me to show how little switches at home can make all the difference in my life and relationship with my husband.

I have been with my husband for 15 years now. We have been married for 11.5 of those years. I will be the first to tell you that time does fly by quickly. When I find us tiring of our normal daily routine, I try to change things up a bit and add a little spice. I like to keep things fresh and exciting for my home life so that my husband doesn't decide to turn me in for two twenties!

Normally I only curl my hair for when I am going out of the house on a shopping trip or for an appointment. I am going to try to get in a routine of styling my hair on a daily basis. I know that when I look good, I feel good and my good mood will reflect on those around me. I know that my husband notices when I dress differently or make myself up. I think that he will appreciate my effort. I won't tell him that I am doing this for his sake but I am doing this just for him.

After the kids go to bed, my normal routine is to turn on the computer and find my facebook friends who are online and chat with them. Tonight I am going to turn off the computer when my husband comes home from work and sit with him while he unwinds and watches television. He likes to watch tv shows that I don't really enjoy but I will enjoy the time spent with him. He may wonder what is up but I think he will enjoy our time together too.

It has been a long time since my husband and I have had a date night. I just may call the inlaws and see what they are doing this weekend. My inlaws enjoy spending time with our children and I would love some "alone time" with my husband. We truly enjoy our children and the time spent together as a family but we do need a little time to regroup and to get back on the romance track.

I find that when my husband and I are on the same page and getting along in the bedroom, we tend to get a long better as a family too. As a family, we usually thrive on a structured routine but baby, it's time to shake things up a bit! Momma needs daddy to need her too!

If you are married or invoved in a romantic relationship I would for you to share your tips for staying romantic with me.

Spring Skin Renewal with Repechage Review

I am a member of tomoson and they have sent me the Repechage Hydra Refine One-Minute Clarifying Mask review opportunity.

Spring Skin Renewal is easy with Repechage Hydra Refine One-Minute Clarifying Mask. I received the one minute clarifying mask for normal to oily skin. I like that Hydra Refine redefines oily skin treatment with a line of five products that help balance your skin’s pH while controlling the production of oil and maintaining your facial moisture.

It is possible to fight facial oil while still keeping your skin moisturized when using the four main ingredients that are in Hydra Refine products. The featured ingredients in Hydra Refine are: Laminaria Saccharina Seaweed, Lemongrass—With antiseptic and astringent properties, Farnesol (Lily of the Valley)and Cucumber.

Laminaria Saccharina Seaweed is a unique seaweed that helps reduce sebum production and fights the oil oxidation that contributes to the formation of blackheads. At the same time, it hydrates the skin never leaving you dry or irritated.

Lemongrass—With antiseptic and astringent properties, is ideal for treating oily skin and it is a known anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agent.

Farnesol (Lily of the Valley) is a natural ingredient that supplies the skin with protection against acne causing bacteria.

Cucumber is widely known as a soothing, cooling and healing agent, but the essential oil of cucumber has even greater benefits. It has vital fatty acids and anti-oxidants, such as Vitamin E and Zinc. Cucumber oil protects the skin and aids in healing. Proteolytic enzymes refine the skin and help keep pores clean and clear.

I like the Repechage Hydra Refine One-Minute Clarifying Mask because it contains special skin brighteners that deep cleans my skin while improving my skin's clarity and overall skin tone. The Repechage Hydra Refine One-Minute Clarifying Mask doesn't leave my face oily or dry it out. My face is gently exfoliated with tiny rice bran wax and lactic acid while I use this product.

I love that Repechage Hydra Refine One-Minute Clarifying Mask is easy to use. I apply a thin layer of the mask over my face and neck before my morning shower. I massage it lightly and pay close attention to my problem skin areas. Once the mask is in place, I simply rinse my face in the shower and my skin is revived and brightened.

Spring Skin Renewal is at your fingertips with Repechage Hydra Refine One-Minute Clarifying Mask.
