Clorox Clean-Up Presents Recipes For Fun

I am a member of SocialMoms and they have teamed up with Clorox Clean-Up for this fun blogging opportunity. I have been asked to share the news about the new Clorox Clean-Up Recipes For Fun website and the Ultimate Mess Party contest with you.

I am an at home mom of 2 school aged children and I have found that my kids tend to learn better when we make it fun. I am always looking online for educational games and programs and I am thrilled to have found the Clorox Clean-Up Recipes For Fun website.

On the Clorox Clean-Up Recipes For Fun site you will find great activities for you and your kids. These activities will allow you to live it up, mess it up, and then clean it up. You will find fun and messy activities such as wacky science, arts & crafts, kiddie cooking and even creative cooking. You will also be able to meet the moms and share your own ideas with the community also.

I am excited to have found the kiddie cooking section on the Recipes for Fun website. I enjoy cooking with my children and we are always looking for new recipes to experiment with. Usually we use pre-made mixes, canned icing and candies for our cookies but I love that the recipes here have real ingredients such as flour, sugar and eggs. Not only will we be spending quality time together but we will also be learning how to measure and mix at the same time. The best part is that we will be rewarded with food that is good for us as well!

For Valentine's Day this year, my daughter and I made cookies for her classroom. For this recipe of fun we used the following:

1 package of dry sugar cookie mix
1/2 cup of butter
1 egg

canned icing
red candies

The cooking directions are to heat the oven to 350. Stir cookie mix, butter and egg in a large glass bowl until a soft dough forms. Roll dough out on a floured surface until it is 1/4 inch thick. Cut it with a heart shaped cookie cutter and place cut outs 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 7 to 9 minutes and let them cool before removing them from the baking sheet. Once they are cooled, you may ice and decorate them. Enjoy!

To help celebrate their new site, Clorox has launched the Ultimate Mess Party Sweepstakes. If you choose to sign up with Clorox Clean-Up Recipes For Fun you will receive one sweepstakes entry into the grand prize drawing for a chance to win $10,000 towards an Ultimate Mess Party. If you share a Recipe For Fun, you will receive 10 extra grand prize entries and a $1.00 coupon on Clorox Clean-Up Cleaner for your first recipe. Each day, Clorox Clean-Up is instantly awarding free Clorox® Clean-Up® coupons and $100 gift cards from a variety of retailers to lucky random users who are viewing recipes. Be sure to register, you have to be in it to win it!

Through this site, I have leaned that it is ok to make a mess with your kids as long as they are learning and having fun. You can always clean it up! Right? It's all in the name of fun. We all know that Clorox Clean-Up is easy to use and works great, so why not give it a try?
