Torani Brings Holiday Cheer

The cold mornings and chilly evenings make me crave hot drinks more than usual.  I am a coffee kind of girl and I don't enjoy it black.  I like to add flavors, creamers, milk or sweeteners to my drink and I am not afraid to experiment.  I enjoy finding new ways to create coffee drinks and Torani has helped me to do that.  I have been sent a Pumpkin Pie Sugar Free syrup and a Sugar Free Hazel Nut syrup from Torani through SheSpeaks and I have been asked to share a special creation and a contest with you.

I have created a very nice Skinny Pumpkin Pie Latte recipe and I hope that you enjoy it too.

1/2 cup of hot coffee
1/2 cup of skim milk
2 tablespoons of Sugar Free Pumpkin Pie Torani syrup
1 small spoon of sugar free whipped topping
sprinkle of cinnamon

I brew my morning cup of coffee and then I pour 1/2 cup of it into a large mug.  I add 1/2 cup of skim milk to that along with 2 tablespoons of Sugar Free Pumpkin Pie Torani syrup.  I give the drink a gentle stir before I add a small spoon of sugar free whipped topping to it.  I add a dash of cinnamon on top of the drink and then I sit back to enjoy it.

I will be adding this recipe to the Torani Holiday Cheers Contest.  You may enter the contest too by telling Torani how you use their syrups to turn your everyday coffee and/or recipes into something special.  Be sure to submit a photo with your recipe to holidaycheerscontest@torani.com.  Lucky winners will win special Mr. Coffee prize packs along with Torani Syrups.

Choosing Gluten Free Products Can Be Fun

Gluten free products are becoming more popular day by day.  As a consumer I am happy to see the wide variety of items that are available on the shelves today.  One of my favorite brands is Udi's Gluten Free.  They have many items to choose from such as breads, bagels, buns, pizza, cookies, brownie bites, cinnamon rolls, muffin, muffin tops, frozen pizza and even granola.  While this is a long and exciting list, they are still adding more new products to their line.  Be sure and look for the classic french and seeded whole grain dinner rolls as well as french baguettes.  These should be in the stores near you soon.

I love that not only are Udi's Gluten Free foods 100% gluten free but they are delicious too.  Udi's bakery is a 100% dedicated certified gluten free bakery.  This ensures that their products are 100% free of gluten.  There is no chance of cross contamination with other products.  Their products are also free of artificial flavors, colors and preservatives.  When I feed my family Udi's products, I know what they are eating and I feel good about that.  Udi's has such a wide variety of breads and snacks to choose from that we don't miss the gluten.  My family never has to eat the same foods over and over.  I make sure to change it up each week so that they don't tire of eating gluten free.

One of our favorite Udi's Gluten Free products is their cookies.  They come in chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and snickerdoodle.  The snickerdoodle are my favorite.  They are soft and chewy, plus they remind me of the snickerdoodles that my grandmother use to make.

You may find Udi's Gluten Free foods online or at a grocery store near you.  Whole Foods, Kroger, Safeway and Publix are known to carry Udi's nationally.  If you would like to see Udi's Gluten Free products in your local store, be sure and put in a product request at the customer service desk.  Many stores will stock products if they are requested.

All Natural Skin Care

The cold winter air and dry indoor heat aggravates my already troublesome skin.  Being that my skin is sensitive I normally hesitate to use new skin care products but all natural skin care products intrigue me and I was more than happy to try two products for WRRYFree Skin Care through tomoson.

I was sent a quarter sized sample of  the Climb On! Bar and this is the first moisturizer bar that I have ever tried.  I like the concept of being able to rub a dry bar over my skin and to have it moisturized.  There is no product mess left on your skin because there is no way to over squeeze like you can do with lotions.  The Climb On! Bar can soothe burns, cuts, scrapes, rashes, cracked cuticles and heels, tissue nose, road rash, diaper rash, abrasions, poison ivy and any other skin issue that needs deep moisturizing and nourishing.

I was also sent a sample of the Climb On! Creme.  The Creme is a deep moisturizer that nourishes your skin.  You can a apply the Climb On! Creme to your skin to moisturize and nourish it if you are in the sun, wind, ice, rain, water, chemicals, etc.  It can also be used after extreme exposure for moisturizing relief.

The Climb On! Bar and Creme can take the place of many items in your bathroom cabinet.  They can be used for make-up removal, cuticle cream, intense nighttime moisturizer, before and after the sun lotion, and even as a conditioning aftershave for face or legs.

They say that a little goes a long way however, I have psoriasis on my knees and calves and I wish that I had been sent full sized products so that I could truly test these products over a longer period of time to see if it can really help all skin conditions.

Disclosure:  I have been sent 2 samples of Climb On! products through tomoson so that I could try them and complete an honest review of the products.  All opinions are my own.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

What Is On Your Wish List?

Can you believe that Christmas is less than a month away?  This year has just flown by.  It seems that we were just putting in our garden yesterday when the reality is that it has already came, produced and died away.

Last year we put in a raised bed for our garden and as you can see by the picture below, we had to use an old fashioned water hose to water our garden.  This year, I am putting a hozelock automatic garden watering system on my Christmas wish list.  This system will allow us to water our garden efficiently and more cost effectively.  We can also use a timer so that our garden will be watered even if we are out of town.

What is on your wish list this year?

So Much To Do and So Little Time

As we all know, the holiday are a busy time of year especially for bloggers.  Not only are we worried about our Christmas shopping lists, holiday decorations and food menus but we are also swamped with reviews this time of year.  There are so many companies who want their name out there in the public eye so that they can be on the top of the gift buying list.  Normally I am in high gear when the stress comes on but right now all I want to do is play computer games.  I know that this may sound silly but there isn't much better than a few rounds of games on pogo or free bingo hunter.  I like to get a cup of coffee and play a few games to start my morning.  My problem is that my few minutes can drag on and become a few hours if I am not careful.

Like my post title says, there is so much to do and so little time so I had better get busy and write a couple of reviews.  I may reward myself with a few rounds of games this evening.

Do you like to play games online?  If so, what are your favorite sites to visit?

CuddleUppets Are Fun!

My daughter is a commercial watcher and a lot of times I hear:  "Mom!!"  "Look Mom!"  "I want that! Mom!"  I hear this so often that I tend to turn a deaf ear to it unless it's around her birthday or Christmas.  One of the many commercials that she enjoys is the CuddleUppet commercial.  She has wanted a CuddleUppet for a while now and she was ecstatic to  learn that she was getting a CuddleUppet of her very own for this review.

We have received the yellow puppy CuddleUppet for our review.  I love that the blanket is very generous in size.  It measures 28" by 39" and it is perfect for sleeping with at night.  It is also great for watching television with, playing pretend with and even for putting on a puppet show.  This machine washable blanket is cuddly, cute and affordable.  I believe that CuddleUppets would make a great gift for a boy or girl.  Who doesn't like to cuddle up and get cozy?

CuddleUppets are available in eight different varieties: Pink Poodle, Blue Elephant, Purple Monkey, Yellow Puppy, Brown Bear, Green Crocodile and the newest additions: Pink Ladybug and Magic Unicorn. They are available online at cuddleuppets.com and in major retailers as well as on Amazon.

Disclosure:  I have received a CuddleUppet courtesy of Jay at Play through The Blogger Connection to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.

Think Mrs. Cubbison's For Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving will be here before we know it and one of my favorite traditions is enjoying Thanksgiving lunch with my family. We usually have turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, green beans, sweet potatoes and plenty of desserts for our meal. My mom is normally the main cook for this dinner but this year I have offered to bring the stuffing. I will be taking a dish made from Mrs. Cubbison's Seasoned Dressing.

Easy To Bake Stuffing Casserole:

Ingredients:

1 6-ounce packages of Mrs. Cubbison's Classic Seasoned Dressing
1 stick of melted margarine
3/4 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped onion
3/4 cup chicken broth

This recipe was very easy to make and it taste great too.  I preheat our oven to 350°F, then combine the dressing mix with the chopped vegetables.  Next I stir in the chicken broth and melted butter in slowly. After this step, I spoon the mixture into a greased casserole dish and cover it with foil.  I bake the stuffing casserole dish on the middle rack of the oven at 350°F for 30 minutes. Last, I remove the cover and bake the dish another 5 to 10 minutes so that the top of the casserole will brown and crisp just a bit.  I have made this recipe before and I must say that it is a hit!

While reviewing the results from Mrs. Cubbison's "Thanksgiving Across America" Survey, I found that our family is like most other families who participated in their survey.  The survey results show that Thanksgiving is the 2nd most popular holiday among all of the survey takers, while Christmas came in first.  I also learned that like me, most people are the most thankful for their family and that they enjoy turkey first on Thanksgiving and stuffing was second followed by mashed potatoes!  If you noticed, our Thanksgiving Day menu contains these exact 3 items!  I think that it's pretty cool that most people who took this survey will be eating the same menu on the same day, all in different places.   If you would like to find out more about things you may have in common with others, you may see the actual results of the survey online. You may find out more about Mrs. Cubbison's on facebook and even get Thanksgiving Tips too!

What is on your Thanksgiving menu?  I would love to know.

Parnevu: Hair Products For Me and For You!

Over the last few weeks I have had a chance to try 3 great products from Parnevu.  Parnevu specializes in 2 types of products:  T-Tree based products and Extra Dry care products.  I wanted to try something from both of their lines so I chose to try the Parnevu T-Tree Shampoo, Parnevu Extra-Dry Salon Shampoo and the Parnevu Extra-Dry After Shampoo Conditioner.

I was excited to try the T-Tree Shampoo first.  The Parnevu T-Tree Oil products are specially formulated to help promote hair growth, prevent hair breakage, repair split ends, and eliminate dry scalp.  Normally my hair is fine, long, and dry.  I often have split ends and hair breakage along with a dry scalp too.  I was hoping that the T-Tree Shampoo would help me to over come the dry and itchy scalp that I tend to get in the colder months and I wasn't disappointed.  After using the T-Tree Shampoo over a week I noticed less split ends and my hair was healthier and more moisturized.  I like that the T-Tree Shampoo from Parnevu is inexpensive and it works well with my hair type.

The next product for me to try was the Parnevu Salon Shampoo for Extra-Dry Hair.  I must say that I love the way that this shampoo smells and works!  It is specially formulated to remove buildup from your hair and it contains natural oils to leave your hair moist, soft and silky.  I am a shampoo every day kind of girl and I find that this products allows me to shampoo every day without drying out my hair!  My hair seems softer and more manageable than before.

I have paired up the Parnevu Salon Shampoo for Extra-Dry Hair with the After Shampoo Conditioner from Parnevu.  This conditioner is also formulated for extra dry hair and it helps to lock in moisture and prevent hair breakage at the same time.  The Parnevu After Shampoo Conditioner helps to protect my hair from the damage that heated appliances such as blow dryers and curling irons may cause.  I find that the two products work great together and my hair and scalp aren't dry anymore.

You may find out more about Parnevu on their website, facebook and on twitter.

Disclosure:  I have received 3 free products so that I may try Parnevu for myself and provide you with an honest review of their products.  All opinions are my own.  No other compensation was exchanged.
